By mixing a small amount of nano silica into concrete, ultra-high strength and ultra-high durability concrete can be easily prepared. At present, a large number of research studies have demonstrated that nano SiO2 has a positive modification effect on cement.The cement paste doped with nanosilica has reduced fluidity, shortened setting time, and significantly improved early strength.Nano-doped nano silica can absorb Ca(OH)2 (calcium hydroxide) enriched at the interface more effectively and quickly, and reduce the degree of Ca(OH)2 orientation. The effect of silica (SiO2) on concrete is mainly manifested in:
(1) Increase strength. The compressive strength and flexural strength of the concrete have been significantly enhanced. By incorporating nano-silicon carbide at a concentration of 1/1000%, the compressive strength can be increased by 10-30%, and the flexural strength can be increased by more than 20%.
(2) Increase the density. The impermeability is increased by 5-18 times, and the chemical resistance is enhanced by more than 6 times.
(3) Frost resistance: Nano-silica SiO2 undergoes 300-600 rapid freeze-thaw cycles, and its relative elastic modulus is 10-15% lower, while ordinary concrete withstands 25-50 cycles, and its relative elastic modulus is even lower. 30-73%.
